Village & Community Development Project

Order has been implemented various Village development projects like Village Development with community under convergence under NABARD-VDP support.

Community support programs under Concern India foundation, Bangalore

Promotion of various community based organization like SHG, Participant groups (PG), Village development committees (VDC), village watershed development committees (VWC), farmer clubs, joint liability groups and farmer’s producer organization (FPO) under NABARD & Department supported project villages.

NABARD Supported village development (VDP) project has been implemented in 9 villages of Sira taluk, Tumkur district under VDP-I and II phase. Objective of VDP program is to organize, involve and empower village community through various training, awareness, exposure and capacity building programs for availing services, schemes and programs from various sources for development of village and community.

Community based organizations (CBOs) men & women SHG's, farmer clubs village development committe,farmers producer organizations and joint liability groups (JLG) are formed to avail credit/scheme facilities from banks & departments, Panchayath Raj Institution and financial institutions to improve village infrastructure and community livelihoods.

Exposure visits to progressive farmer lands, construction of common washing platforms, support grant for construction of individual household toilets, red gram seed production programs are taken up.
